WE ARE PROUD OF THE HIGH LEVEL OF SERVICE PROVIDED AT MUSTANGSHIRE
"Mike worked on my new top-spec Porsche Cayman S, performing a complete oil change and a diagnostic check after it had done 10,000 miles. He documented the work and took photos along the way which was a great help in my understanding of the car itself, as well as the intricacies of what had to be done and how. The car was returned in the most immaculate condition imaginable and the 911 Turbo wheels were gleaming. The smell of the leather interior made me smile every time I drove the car since! However, the real attraction of using Mike to do work on your car is not just the exceptional value for money he offers, but the fact that he clearly makes a task his own in a very personal way, rather than 'approved' in house car dealership technicians who maintain a faceless relationship with the customer and inspire no confidence in their dedication towards the job in hand. I have no intention of having anyone else work on my car for as long as I own it."

"Mike provides a friendly, first class and affordable service. His workmanship is outstanding and his attention to detail is impressive. Mike has a genuine passion for every job he undertakes from a routine service to a classic engine restoration. He treats every vehicle with the same level of care as though it were his own. Mike is exceptionally honest and will always provide a balanced opinion about a proposed project. I am one of many satisfied customers"

“Mike at Mustang Shire is a breath of fresh air. His work is always meticulous and his attention to detail is never lacking. All at a price far lower than the dealer..... I cannot recommend highly enough.”

Mike has worked on all my Maserati's 222SR, Ghibli Primatist and Shamal in recent times. As a bit of a Maserati Fanatic i love the Cars to be in tip top shape all year round. I visited Mike some 2years ago to sit and discuss my requirements to make my Cars the BEST anywhere. I was astounded by the amount of enthusiasm he shows regardless of the job in hand. The Cars tend not to get used as often as i hope so a certain amount of care and consideration had to be taken to get them up and running. Mike certainly knows his stuff and i have to admit the Cars have never gone better since being fettled by himself. The cars reap praise wherever i take them. To say the quality of the workmanship is out of this world is an understatement. I would have no hesitation to recommend Mike to anyone who owns a Car. Fair, honest and trustworthy. What more you can you say.
Thanks your continued help Mike, I had better go and buy another Maserati to keep you busy.
Philip, High Wycombe
Mike is not only a top bloke but a skillfull engineer. He has worked on my Mini Cooper, Golf VR6 and my wife's 33 year old VW Beetle. Basically he can turn his to anything with wheels on. His work is always of the highest standard and at a very reasonable rate. I will not be taking my cars to anyone else.

Mike is very enthusiastic and passionate about his work. My car was repaired and serviced with great attention to detail as if it was a performance car, which sadly it isn't! Mike took a lot of care and explained everything that was being done, which is rare. I felt absolutely confident that he had done a great job.

I would best describe Mike as a highly competent engineer who has provided me with a first class service over the years, however racy or plain the car. In all the time I've known him, I've never seen Mike phased by anything too big or too small, too complex or too simple. The key for me though, is that Mike is clearly passionate about what he does. He cares not just about the quality of the work he does, but also the quality and flexibility of the service he provides. All in all, Mike's a superb motor engineer with an excellent knowledge of his craft. As far as my experience is concerned, he puts that knowledge and expertise to bear ,with honesty and integrity.

I have known Mike for a few years now, he has worked on a variety of my cars Including my Maserati 3200GT, as well as my commercial Transit Custom. He is currently undertaking a pretty much full mechanical restoration, as well as a brand new interior on my Series 1 FHC 3.8 E Type Jaguar. When he said to me "if people do not open the bonnet and say WOW, I have not done my job properly" , I knew he was then man to undertake my latest project.
Throughout my dealings with Mike, he has provided a top class service, whether it is for small issues, or full on restorations. His attention to detail, goes over and beyond what you would expect from most mechanics. Nothing is too much trouble. He keeps you in the picture at all times, literally providing photographic updates as he goes along.
Having used my fair share of mechanics over my motoring years, I can truthfully say that Mike is always the first mechanic I would recommend to anyone, to provide a truthful appraisal of any works needed to be undertaken , when agreed upon, carried out with utmost diligence, care and enthusiasm.
Rest assured your car is in safe hands.

I found Mike whilst searching for specialists for my Maserati 3200 GT, and was impressed by the examples that Mustang Shire Engineering had on their website. In addition, there was a lovely Ferrari Testarossa that had a complete engine out rebuild, so I decided to entrust them with my car.
As well as being really friendly and helpful, Mike is hugely knowledgeable and is fastidious with his attention to detail, replacing screws that were either rusty or didn't match, as well as managing to get the paint shinier than I've ever seen it.
The car is running beautifully, and it really makes a difference having someone like Mike to look after my car, knowing that it's in good hands.

I heard about Mike through a friend's recommendation, and with the 10 year service on my car due, decided to put my faith in Mike with the task. After giving the car a thorough checkover, Mike found that the front bumper had been damaged and poorly repaired at some point in its former life. The discs were rusty around the hubs, and the mountings for the door mirrors had corroded. After finding a suitable replacement bumper, Mike had had the discs and mirror mounts stove enamelled and the bumper resprayed.
I am so happy with the service Mike at Mustang Shire provides, and will definitely leave any tasks, large or small to him.

Mike is an engineer that I wish I had known about when I first bought my ex racing Lotus Esprit; in fact had I known him when I first started my affair with classic cars, I probably would still have my favourites around me today. Mike's capability is astonishing, he manufactures and repairs, diagnosis and resolves, and his attention to detail is first class. Mike is bursting with knowledge and enthusiasm, and makes time to share the experience with you. If I have my way, my Lotus, and any other future acquisitions won't be worked on by anyone other than Mike.

"I have known Mike almost ten years, and he has completed two nut and bolt rebuilds for me, a TVR V8S and a Lotus Elise S1. There isn't really anything Mike cannot do. He's a creative and talented engineer, and if he hasn't done something before, is always able to figure it out. I've enjoyed the interactions and journeys on both cars, and in particular the detailed discussions on various jobs with with somebody who is hands on with the cars himself. He's also fantastic value vs traditional garages, and a one stop shop for a project. If you're considering using somebody for a project, big or small, and no matter how complex, look no further."

I have known Mike Pearsall for over a decade, and he has looked after my BMW M3 Cabriolet throughout that time. I have seen him work on Maserati's, Aston Martins, Nobles, Porsches, BMW M's, TVR's and all manner of esoteric one offs. There have been many classic Lotus's as well as more run of the mill vehicles.I have marvelled as he has created V8s, straight 6s seemingly from scratch. I have never experienced a more knowledgable, capable and conscientious mechanic, obsessed with every fine detail. If he doesn't have a tool for a job, he simply manufactures it himself. I have been absolutely thrilled with the way he's looked after my M3, his attention to detail is inspiring to see, as is his professionalism. He applies the same levels of concentration and effort to every job, be it a DB9 or something more mundane. Great value also, I would genuinely recommend him to everyone, whatever their car.
